What is a panel heater?

A panel heater (convector) is an electric heater with a heating element that warms the air in the room. When each heater has its own thermostat, you set the rooms separately.

The NOBO, Atlantic and Glamox panel heaters from Sani Hellas all heat by natural air circulation. They have no fan, so there is no fan noise. The Nobo NTL4R WiFi (through the Capa Connect app), the Atlantic F120 WiFi Connect and the Glamox H40 Compact White have a weekly schedule. The Nobo NTL4T comes with the Nobo NCU-2Te thermostat, which has a timer and nine preset 24-hour programmes.

Frequently asked questions about panel heaters

How much electricity does a panel heater use, and how do I achieve low consumption?

A 1,500 W panel heater uses up to 1.5 kWh for each hour of operation at full power. When the room reaches the temperature you set, the thermostat stops heating. In practice, the electricity you pay for depends on the power, the hours of use and the temperature you set. Choose the power the room needs. The thermostat and, where available, the weekly schedule switch the heating on only when you need it.

Is a panel heater silent?

Yes, the NOBO, Atlantic and Glamox panel heaters from Sani Hellas run silently. They heat by natural air circulation, with no moving parts. They have no fan, so there is no fan noise. The heating element does not crackle when it heats up or cools down.

Which is the best panel heater for my room: NOBO, Atlantic or Glamox?

It depends on the room and on whether you want WiFi. For small rooms there is the Nobo NTL2N. For larger rooms, the Atlantic F119 DESIGN ERP and the Atlantic F120 WiFi Connect reach 2,500 W. With WiFi: the Nobo NTL4R WiFi, the Atlantic F120 WiFi Connect or the Glamox H40 Compact White with the WT3 thermostat. If you want a compact heater, the Glamox H40 Compact White is 420 mm high. You can combine brands in the same home.

Which Glamox panel heater does Sani Hellas offer?

Sani Hellas AE, the exclusive distributor of GLAMOX in Greece, offers the Glamox H40 Compact White, a panel heater with a Norwegian design. The Glamox H40 Compact White is 420 mm high and is sold with a WT3 WiFi thermostat.

Which panel heaters have WiFi?

Three models: the Nobo NTL4R WiFi, the Atlantic F120 WiFi Connect and the Glamox H40 Compact White. The Nobo NTL4R WiFi connects to the Capa Connect app for iOS and Android. The Atlantic F120 WiFi Connect has WiFi in every heater. The Glamox H40 Compact White is sold with a WT3 WiFi thermostat, which you control with the Glamox app. The Nobo NTL4T, Nobo NTL2N and Atlantic F119 DESIGN ERP have no WiFi.

How many square metres does a panel heater heat?

As a rough guide, allow 100/110 W per square metre: 1,000 W for about 9–10 m² and 2,000 W for about 18–20 m². The power you need depends on insulation, ceiling height, openings, orientation, outdoor temperature and use. For a closer estimate, try the Sani Hellas power calculator.

Panel heater or air conditioner: when should I choose a panel heater?

When you need heating for one room or a holiday home, for a few hours or as a supplement to other heating. A panel heater needs no outdoor unit or pipework, so it is a simpler solution than an air conditioner. For the power you need, see the Sani Hellas power calculator.

Does a panel heater go on the wall or on the floor?

Either, depending on the model. The Glamox H40 Compact White comes with a wall bracket in the box and the Atlantic F119 DESIGN ERP with a floor stand. The Atlantic F120 WiFi Connect comes with wall brackets and feet in the box. For the Nobo NTL4T an optional floor stand with castors is available.
